AUNTIE ANNES STYLE PRETZEL DOGS with cheese dipping sauce 🥨 for episode 1 of my from scratch game day series!!! 🏈 Recipe - In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 1 cup of warm water, 1 tsp of yeast, and 1 tsp of sugar. - Then, mix in 1 & 3/4 cup of flour and 1/2 tsp of salt until a dough forms. Knead until smooth. - Cover the mixing bowl with a towel and let rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size. - Once the dough has risen, divide the dough into 6 pieces. Roll them into about 10 inch logs and flatten. Sprinkle in extra flour if the dough is too sticky. Then, place the end of a hot dog at the end of the log and roll it up. - Once you’ve repeated this process with the rest of the dough & hot dogs, dip them in a baking soda water bath (1 cup of warm water whisked together with 1 tbsp of baking soda) Then, transfer them to a parchment paper lined baking sheet. - Bake on 425 for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown. - Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with flaky salt.
