In a pot over medium heat, sauté 1/2 cup of diced white onion, 2 tbsp of finely diced jalapeño, and 2 cloves of minced garlic in olive oil for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes of sautéing, add in 1 lb of ground beef, 1 tbsp of chili seasoning (made from 2 tbsp of chili powder, 2 tsp of cumin, 1 tsp of garlic powder, 1 tsp of onion powder, 2 tsp of salt, 1 tsp of cayenne pepper, 1 tsp of cane sugar, 1/2 tsp of cinnamon, and 1/2 tsp of cocoa powder), and 2 tsp of tomato paste and sauté for about 8 minutes. Then, stir in 1 heaping cup of diced sweet potato, 1/2 cup of frozen corn, a 16oz can of chili beans, and 14 oz of bone broth. Turn the heat to low and let this simmer uncovered for 40 minutes. Serve topped with sliced green onion, shredded sharp cheddar, diced jalapeño, sour cream, and crushed tortilla chips!
