A homemade BBQ sauce that's perfectly sweet and spicy, made with wild blueberries, apple cider vinegar, tomato paste, and a touch of jalapeño and smoked paprika. Ideal for wings or any dish needing a unique flavor kick.
Add 1 cup of frozen wild blueberries, 3 tbsp of apple cider vinegar, 3 tbsp of tomato paste, 1/2 tsp of salt, 1 tsp of smoked paprika, 3 tbsp of coconut or brown sugar, 1/2 inch slice of jalapeño, 1/4 of a small red onion, and 1 clove of garlic to a saucepan. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat. Turn the heat to low and cover. Let this cook for 10 minutes. Then, transfer the mixture to a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Use the sauce right away, or transfer to an airtight container and store in your fridge for up to a week.
